Audrey Ferne Tarr

Audrey Ferne Tarr, 87, of Strabane Woods, Washington PA, formerly of Monongahela died on Saturday March 28, 2009. Ms. Tarr was born July 13, 1921 in Gallatin, PA, the only child of Webster O. and Bertha Wragg Tarr. She was a graduate of Monongahela High School. She was employed by United States Steele doing stenographic and detail work. She retired in 1976 after 34 years of service. She was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church and was a Life Member of the Order of Eastern Star – Monongahela Chapter 108. She is the last of her immediate family. Ms. Tarr is survived by by five cousins and their families, Harry & Meg Steele, Linda & Randy Scheff, Scott & Darlene Sharrow, Audrey & James Rhodes and Stanley & Ruth Sharrow. Friends of Audrey Ferne Tarr, 87, of Washington, who died on Saturday, March 28, 2009, will be received of Wednesday, from 1 to 2 PM, the time of services, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. The 2:00 PM service will be conducted by Pastor Ed DeLair and burial will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
