Bonnie Lou Jackson, 82, of Washington, died Saturday, September 12, 2009, in the Washington Hospital following a short illness. She was born in Fairmount, West Virginia, on January 11, 1927, a daughter of Walter and Cora Harris Hartley.
She was a home maker, and attended Fourth Presbyterian Church in Washington for many years. At one time, she worked at W.T.Grants and prior to that during World War II had worked a Westinghouse Corporation.
On May 29, 1946, she married Cecil Harold Jackson, who died on December 21, 1982.
Surviving are two sons, Richard and Scott Jackson, both of Washington; three daughters, Corlea � Corky � Jackson, Sandy Sayre, and Cindy ( Russell ) McWhorter, all of Washington; nine grandchildren, Shane and Troy Ware, Jill Ware Carlisle, Brandy Miller Dziak, Amber Sayre, Tad and Kiley McWhorter, Elizabeth and Allen Jackson; twelve great-grandchildren as well as 1 great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by three brothers, Darrell, Gene, and jack Hartley.
Friends of Bonnie Lou Jackson, 82, of Washington, who died Saturday, September 12, 2009, will be received on Monday from 7 to 9 PM and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
