James Fee, 78, of Taylorstown, died Saturday, July 18, 2009, in his residence.
He was born in Chartiers Township, July 12, 1931, a son of Walter Fee and Alice Fee White.
On November 20, 1952, he entered the U.S. Army, serving in Korea during the Korean Conflict and received the Good Conduct Medal, National Service Medal, Korean Service Medal and Bronze Star. He was honorably discharged on November 19, 1954.
Mr. Fee was an equipment operator in heavy construction and a member of Operator Union Local #66 for forty-one years.
He attended Taylorstown United Presbyterian Church and was a member of American Legion Post 907 Taylorstown.
Mr. Fee especially enjoyed and took great pride in his gardening. He also enjoyed spending time at Mike’s Feed Store and Sunset Auto.
On June 29, 1956, he married Wanda Lee Fee, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, James R. “Randy” Fee, (Kay), of Claysville; two daughters, Candy Hamilton (Roger), and Debra Litzenberger (Greg), both of Washington; two sisters, Mary Jane Woodhouse (Wally), and Alice Mae McClure; two grandchildren, Summer L. Kissell (Vincent Sonson) and Ryan J. Fee.
Deceased are two brothers, Donald Fee, Sr. and Walter Fee; and a sister, Betty Fee.
Friends will be received 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m, Monday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd. 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2009, with Pastor Patricia Lutz officiating. Burial will follow in Claysville Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 639, Claysville.
