Ramona M. Leeland, 78, of Canonsburg, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009 in Donnell House, Washington, following a 4-½ year illness.
She was born November 1, 1930, in Bristol, TN., a daughter of Richard I. and Gladys Farrell Leonard.
Mrs. Leeland was a member of Central Assembly of God Church in Houston, and was active in the church activities.
She was a Girl Scout leader and enjoyed arts and crafts.
Mrs. Leeland was a clerk for the F.B.I. for five years.
On October 10, 1951, she married Relmond R. Leeland, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Rene (Paul) Voelker, and a granddaughter, Valerie Araque' Voelker.
Deceased are a brother, David Leonard; and a daughter Ramona D. Leeland.
Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2009, with Pastor Don O'Hare officiating. Burial will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, in Bridgeville. The family suggests memorial contributions to American Cancer Society, 331 S.
