Margaret L. Roth, 88, formerly of Washington, died Wednesday, January 14, 2009,in Greenery Nursing and Skilled Rehabilitation Center, North Strabane Township. She was born November 5, 1920, in Cheat Haven, a daughter of Michael Jeffers Sr. and Margaret Rafter Jeffers. Mrs. Roth was a 1940 graduate of Trinity High School. For ten years, she worked as a sales associate at Gimble’s and then worked for 25 years as a psychiatric aid at Mayview. She enjoyed watching old classic movies and Pirates baseball on television. Mrs. Roth was Episcopalian by faith. On October 12, 1940, she married Robert Clark Roth Sr., who died March 10, 2005. Surviving are a son, Robert Clark (Mary Ann) Roth Jr. of Munhall; a daughter, Nancy Lucille Roth of Scottsdale, Arizona; one brother, Milton Jeffers of Houston; six grandchildren, Terri, Lori, Cindy, Eddie, Robert and Meredith; five great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Deceased is a brother, Michael Jeffers Jr. Friends will be received 11:30 a.m. till 4:30 p.m., the hour of service, Sunday, January 18th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Memorial contributions may be made to Greater Washington County Food Bank, 1020 Route 519, Eighty Four, PA 15330-2812.
