Mary Golna, 93, of Washington, died Saturday, April 18, 2009, in Southmont of Presbyterian SeniorCare, Washington.
She was born November 11, 1915, in Leadville, Colo., a daughter of Anthony and Anna Blacka Ambrose.
At one time, she was employed at Washington Hospital, Kade Nursing Home and Club 40 and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Golna was a wonderful mother.
She enjoyed reading, animals and gardening.
Mrs. Golna was married twice. Her first husband, George W. Stone Jr., and second husband, William Golna, are deceased.
Surviving are two sons, William D. Golna (Carol) of Washington and George W. Stone III (Pat) of Supply, N.C.; two daughters, Mary Ann Leslie (Donald) of Alexandria, Va., and Joyce Schott (E. Dale) of Washington; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several relatives in the Denver, Colo., area.
Deceased are three brothers, Stanley, Joseph and Anthony.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 22. Entombment will follow in Washington Cemetery Mausoleum.
