Harold E. Maloy, 73, of Washington, died Sunday, April 19, 2009, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township, following a lengthy illness.
He was born June 20, 1935, in Washington, a son of Norris H. and Wilnetta McGaughey Maloy.
Mr. Maloy was a graduate of Trinity High School.
He was a driver at Coca-Cola for 20 years and a manager at GEE Electric for 14 years.
Mr. Maloy was a former member of Central Assembly of God Church.
He enjoyed the outdoors, raising goats, gardening and fixing things.
On June 20, 1959, he married Nancy M. Plants, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Larry Maloy of Washington; two daughters, Shirley (John) Hall of Canonsburg and Amy (Mark) Bridge of Amity; two sisters, Grace McLean of Wellsburg, W.Va., and Mary Margaret Hickman of Waynesburg; and eight grandchildren, Elyse, Mike, Bethany, Robbie, Jeremy, Klina, Kasey and Lauren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, with Pastor Larry Deemer officiating. Burial will follow in Emmanuel United Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Eighty Four. The family suggests memorial contributions to American Arthritis Foundation, P.O. Box 96280, Washington, DC 20077-7491.
