Morris Samuels

Morris Samuels, 82, of Washington, died Saturday, March 14, 2009, in the Washington Hospital after having been ill for 10 months. He was born in Worchester, MA, on March 17, 1926, a son of the late John and Rebecca Muller Samuels. Mr. Samuels was a long time member of the First Christian Church of Washington and attended Sunday School Class for many years. He was retired from Universal Cyclops after thirty-five years and had worked in various jobs in that company. He was a member of SOAR and had also served in the United States Navy in World War II. On June 9, 1949, he married Marion Louise Dolan who survives. Also surviving are two half-brothers, Jack Samuels of Pittsburgh and Bob Samuels of Florida; a half-sister Shirley Grenadier also of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. Friends of Morris Samuels, 82, of Washington, who died Saturday, March 14, 2009, in the Washington Hospital, will be received on Monday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., where services will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at 1:00 PM with the Dr. David Felty officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
