Amelia "Amy" Diane Craft

Amelia “Amy” Diane Craft, 71, of Hickory, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born on June 30, 1953, in Washington Hospital, a daughter of the late Edmond J. and Barbara Davidson Bredniak.

Amy is survived by her devoted husband and best friend of 52 years, Paul Craft, whom she married on November 4, 1972.

She was the loving mother of Jennifer Krol (Eric) and Jeff Craft (Dr. Tara), and the proud grandmother of eight, Dr. Maddisen Wycoff (Gardon), Roman (Erica), Anthony, Nico, and Luka Colacito, and Colman, Blake, and Theo Craft.

Amy is also survived by her siblings, Robert Bredniak (Connie), Edward Bredniak (Susan), and Rebecca Szolek (Kevin); many cherished nieces and nephews; and her beloved puppy, Piper.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Bredniak, and her nephew, Brian Bredniak.

A woman of deep faith, Amy was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

She graduated from Avella High School in 1971 and continued her education at Alfred State University.

Amy worked in the medical coding department at UPMC Washington, where she was admired for her dedication and kindness.

She loved decorating for the holidays and treasured time spent at family gatherings. She found great joy in cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events and watching the Hallmark Channel. With her warmth and openness, she never met a stranger and left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.

Amy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2025, and from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, Saturday, May 10, 2025, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Burial will be in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory.
