Andrew Thomas Callender, age 66, of Canonsburg, passed away at his residence on December 23, 2025.
Born on February 21,1959 in Washington, a son of the late Jack Callender and Mary (Soliday) Callender.
Andrew was a 1977 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School.
After graduating high school, Andrew went on to proudly serve in the United States Air Force as a Vehicle Operator Dispatcher, earning the rank of Airman (AMN).
He went on to work for the State of Pennsylvania working as a Drivers License Examiner, beginning his time there in 1984, and working until his retirement in 2011.
Andrew loved his computer; he deeply enjoyed watching movies and collecting physical media, housing a storied collection of DVDs. Most of all, he loved to tell stories, talk, and share his time with those he knew.
Andrew leaves behind his beloved wife of 34 years, Saundra Dee Callender, whom he married on September 13, 1991; two brothers, John Callender (Jennifer) and Eydfin Olsen (Oddma); two sisters, Deborah Callender (Dallas Hill) and Susan Ridgeway (Phillip); and an Uncle, Raymond “Ray” Callender (Dorothy).
Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA, where a service will be held 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, with rites rendered by the Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post 175.
