Barbara was a very “crafty” lady who had very many interests; she loved taking photographs as well as scrapbooking, decorating and other creative crafts.
She was very proud of her father's service to the U.S. Army in the 80th Infantry Division. Her father was part of the liberation of Buchenwald Concentration Camp during WWII and she had the opportunity to travel with him back to Buchenwald for the 65th anniversary of the Liberation. Barbara dedicated much of her time honoring and remembering all WWII military veterans and families. She was proud to have a multitude of family members who served in the US military.
Above all, she took the greatest joy in her work helping to raise and nurture the many children she cared for over the decades, creating lifetime memories of a beloved “Aunt Barb”.
