Blaine Harry Stone III

Blaine Harry Stone III, 69, of Coraopolis, passed away Tuesday, July 8.

He was born January 22, 1956, in Allegheny County, a son of the late Blaine Stone II and Margaret McClean Stone.

Blaine was a graduate of Sto-Rox High School.

He went on to pursue a career as a lineman for Verizon, formerly Bell Telephone, before he retired after 38 years.

He was Catholic by faith.

Blaine was a softball coach for many years and loved spending time with his grand-kids - especially watching their sports games.

On June 24, 1978, he married Dreda Koller Stone, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters Melissa Nemeth and Megan (Blaise) Chapman; grandchildren Jayden Nemeth, Ryder Nemeth, Landon Nemeth and Ellawyn Chapman; a brother Christopher (Tori) Stone; a sister Karen (Bill) Murtaugh; a niece Delaney Stone; nephews Crosby Stone, and Stephen Murtaugh; and a great nephew Daniel Murtaugh.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a son-in-law, Jarrod Nemeth, and a nephew, Brian Murtaugh.

Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian burial at St. Malachy Church (Archangel Gabriel Parish) 343 Forest Grove Road Coraopolis, PA 15108 on August 14, 2025 at 10AM.
