Brenda Armenini

Brenda Armenini, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 21, 2026, in Washington, Pennsylvania. She was born on December 7, 1942, in Greensboro, North Carolina, and lived a life marked by love, strength, compassion, and devotion to others.

Brenda was known as a loving, caring, kind, hardworking, selfless, and driven woman. Independent from an early age, she carried herself with the grace and warmth of a true Southern Belle. Those who knew her will remember not only her strength of character, but also the steady and generous way she gave of herself to the people around her.

Education and service to others were important parts of Brenda’s life. She attended Page High School as a member of the Class of 1960. She later graduated from Wheeling Jesuit College with a Masters Degree in Nursing, preparing for a career centered on caring for others. Brenda worked at Washington Hospital for over 23 years, and she also worked at Mayview State Hospital. Through her nursing career, she touched many lives with the same compassion and dedication that defined her in every other part of life.

Brenda also found joy in simple and cherished pleasures. She was a classic movie buff who loved watching Gone with the Wind and The Wizard of Oz. She enjoyed vintage television as well. These favorite films and shows were part of the comfort and happiness she carried with her and shared with those around her.

Above all, Brenda treasured her family. She is survived by her sons, Randy Swink and Tyrone (Lindsay) Swink; her daughter, Sandra (D. Michael) Morgan; and her stepdaughter, Andrea (James) Ausher. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Matthew and Julian Morgan, Zachary, Emily, and Adam Swink, and Malyea Hunt and Erik Roux. Each of them was part of the family circle she held close, and her love for them remains a lasting gift.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Traci Roux; her grandson, Ryan Roux; and her husband, Louis Armenini, whom she married on April 16, 1996. Their memories remained an enduring part of her life and heart.

Brenda’s life was one of care, resilience, and deep devotion to family. She will be remembered with love and missed beyond words.  

Brenda will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies privately.  All services are entrusted to the William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd. 925 Allison Ave. Washington PA.
