Brian Haught, born July 10, 1969, in Washington, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away on April 24, 2026, in his beloved hometown. His life was a testament to kindness, warmth, and a quiet strength that touched all who knew him.
Brian graduated from Washington High School "Class of 1987". After high school, he honorably served in the United States Army, where he earned an honorable discharge, a chapter of his life reflecting his commitment and service to his country.
His career at Washington Penn Plastics in shipping and receiving was marked by steady dedication. Yet it was Brian’s personality that truly defined him—a calm, kind, and welcoming soul, who was everyone's friend and a teddy bear. He was known for his sweet demeanor, he would light up any room and brought comfort with his gentle presence.
One of the many cherished memories of Brian was his long bushy beard, which happily made him resemble Santa Claus to the children anywhere he went. Embracing this, he delighted in playing along, embodying that joyful spirit so fully that the kids would light up with magic and happiness whenever he was around.
Brian was a true Momma’s boy, a loving son to his mother, Rebecca (Cain) Haught, who was an ever-present source of love and support throughout his life. Family was the cornerstone of his existence. He was a devoted father who loved his children deeply: Zachary, Olivia, Hayden Haught, and Kelsey (Seth) Hanna. His pride and joy extended to his grandson, Logan Brian, through whom his spirit continues. His sister Lisa (Eric) Spencer, niece Maliyah Spencer, and great-niece Amaya DeArment also count among those who loved him dearly. He shared a past connection with his former wife and mother of his children, Melissa Aberegg.
Brian's life was enriched by his interests, which included a love for reading, a passion for pulp culture movies, and an enthusiastic following of the NBA.
He carried the memories and legacy of his grandparents, Donald and Jean Cain, and Catherine Haught, who preceded him and whose love helped shape the man he became. As we say goodbye to Brian Duane Haught, we remember a man of simple pleasures and profound love—a steady presence and a sweet friend to many.
