Charles Daniel McCullough Jr., 73, of Washington, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025, in UPMC Washington.
He was born on October 18, 1951, in Washington, a son of the late Charles McCullough Sr. and Margaret Campbell McCullough.
Charles was a 1970 graduate of Trinity High School and received an associate’s degree in machinery from ITT Technical Institute.
He was employed as a maintenance machinist for Ball Glass, Crouse Heinz, and Washington Crown Center.
Charles loved music, playing guitar, going to Disney World, and all sports, calling himself a sports fanatic. Most of all, he was very family centered, and spending time with his loved ones brought him immense joy.
He was Protestant by faith and was a member of New Hope Church in Washington.
On November 7, 1970, he married his devoted wife of 54 years, Catherine “Cathy” A. Haynos McCullough, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Brian (Lou Anne) McCullough, Jay (Erin) McCullough, and Kory McCullough; a brother, Jack McCullough; five grandchildren, Justin, Brandon, Caleb, Abigail, Jonah; and four bonus grandchildren.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are two sisters, Mary Carl and Susan Baker, and his in-laws, Robert and Dolores Haynos.
Charles will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Friends and family will be received from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.., the hour of service, Friday, May 16, 2025, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Pastor Tom Bellhy officiating. Interment will be private in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
