Charles Louis Tomich Jr.

Charles Louis Tomich Jr. was welcomed into Paradise on October 5, 2026, at the age of 95.

Born on September 11, 1931, he graduated from Donora High School and earned an engineering degree at the University of Pittsburgh, an accomplishment that remained a source of pride throughout his life. He served in the Army before working as a metallurgical engineer for several steel mills in the Mon Valley. He also worked as a road inspector for 10 years with Penn DOT.

Charles will be remembered as a religious man who enjoyed spending time at family gatherings. He was preceded in death by Shirley Tomich, his wife of 63 years on August 28, 2022, and his parents, Charles Tomich Sr. and Mary Helen (Leputa) Tomich. He is survived by his children, Brian (Andrea Tomich and Ruth Loudermilk, granddaughters, Lauren (Josh) Potanko, and Desiree Tomich; great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Derek, and Landon; brother, Robert (Joan) Tomich, and niece and nephew, Lisa Tomich and Kevin Tomich.

Visitation will be at Neal Funeral Home, Washington PA on Friday, October 9 from 10:00-11:30, followed by mass at St. Hillary's Church in Washington, PA. Interment will be at Washington Cemetery.
