Washington Pa

Charles E. Wiseman, a beloved figure in the lives of many, was born on November 7, 1933, in Greene County. He left this world peacefully on January 15, 2026, in Washington, PA, with his daughters and son by his side, providing a final reminder of the enduring love he shared with his family.

Chuck dedicated his professional life to the field of accounting, serving with distinction at Crile Machine Company until his retirement. His passions, however, extended far beyond numbers. Known for his calm, caring, and loving demeanor, Chuck was a steadfast friend to many, always eager to lend a helping hand or offer guidance in organizing personal affairs—all with his remarkable accounting expertise. His ability to support and uplift those around him defined his character and forged countless treasured memories.

An alumnus of Waynesburg High School and Penn Commercial Business School, Chuck pursued knowledge with the same fervor that propelled his care for others. His commitment to personal growth continued throughout his life and was echoed in his role as a Sunday School Teacher and an Elder and later Elder-emeritus at Fairhill Manor Christian Church, where he found joy and fulfillment in community service.

Service also called Chuck to the United States Army, where he proudly upheld his duty with honor, reflecting the values he carried into all facets of life. Beyond his professional achievements, he delighted in engaging in hobbies that brought joy and camaraderie. Whether enjoying Dartball at church, playing golf in his younger years, or relishing in card games with friends and family, Chuck cherished the connections these activities fostered.

Family held an irreplaceable place in Chuck's heart. He married the love of his life, Mary F. (Cox) Wiseman, on May 6, 1951, and together they built a family filled with love and pride. He is survived by his daughters, Vicki (Angelo) Casciato and Susan (the late Mark) Britko. Chuck took immense pride in his children grandchildren Chad (Jessica) Britko and Colin Britko; great-grandchildren Connor and Julianna Britko; son Charles “Rick” (Annette) Wiseman; granddaughter Ashley Wiseman; and many nieces and nephews.

In a truly selfless act reflecting his character, Chuck donated his body to the University of Pittsburgh for educational purposes, a decision that highlighted his desire to contribute to the greater good even after death.

Alongside his family journey, Chuck was predeceased by his loving wife Mary, his parents Robert and Ruth (Gray) Wiseman, and his two sisters and two brothers.

The lives Chuck touched are a testament to his legacy—a life lived with purpose and profound compassion. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those he loved.  In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Chucks memory to  Southminster Presbyterian Senior Care, Gateway Hospice or Fairhill Manor Christian Church. The family would like to thank you for your compassion, prayers and support.

Chuck and Mary will be interned at Forest Lawn Gardens in McMurray PA at a later date.
