Charlotte “Jeanie” L. Rydzak, 79, of Washington passed away peacefully at home, Thursday, April 4, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 26, 1939 in Washington, the daughter of the late Frank Sr. and Stella C. Slavikosky Lesnock. Jeanie was a 1957 graduate of Trinity High School and lived in the Washington area her entire life. She was a faithful member of the Immaculate Conception Church, which she attended regularly. Jeanie was an employee at Brockway Glass in Washington for 20 years. Later, she worked for Washington County in the Domestic Relations department for 33 years, retiring in 2018. Jeanie truly had a heart of gold and was always helping others. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. In her spare time, Jeanie loved shopping, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. She also loved traveling with her late husband to Daytona Beach and to Virginia to visit her brother and sister-in-law. On July 14, 1962, Jeanie married the love of her life, Joseph Rydzak Sr., who passed away in January 2018. Surviving are two sons, Tony (Kim) of Washington and Richard (Dawn) of England, two grandchildren, Zachary (Jason) of Canonsburg and Karlie (Stephen) of Bridgeville, a brother, Frank (Betty) of Virginia, several nieces and nephews, and many wonderful, loving friends. Friends will be received Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Monday, April 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery.
