Clarence "Tim" O. Baker Jr.

Clarence “Tim” Owen Baker Jr., 84, of Washington, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2026, at Allegheny General Hospital.

He was born on January 20, 1942, in Washington, PA, the son of the late Clarence Owen Baker Sr. and Dorothy Plymire Baker.

Clarence was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley A. Dinsmore Baker. The two were married on June 11, 1965, and shared 54 years of marriage together.

A graduate of Trinity High School, Clarence proudly served his country as an Army veteran. He was also a dedicated member at Fourth Presbyterian Church. Clarence devoted 21 years of his life to serving his community as a firefighter with the City of Washington Fire Department, a role he took great pride in.

Those who knew Clarence will remember him for his generous heart, quick wit, and ability to make everyone around him smile. He had a special love for animals and spent much of his time caring for stray animals, often taking in as many as he could. He also enjoyed his frequent visits to his local bank, where he loved joking and chatting with the tellers. At home, Clarence could often be found relaxing with a hot cup of coffee while watching his favorite Sitcoms. He was a natural jokester who never missed an opportunity to make someone laugh. Above all, Clarence was a selfless and loving man who cared deeply for his family, friends, and animals.

Clarence is survived by his two loving sons and their spouses, Timothy Baker and his partner, Brenda Ingram, Thomas Baker and his wife, Dawn; and his granddaughter, Lauren Baker.

Clarence will be laid to rest alongside his beloved wife, Shirley, at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville PA 15017 on October 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Honors accorded by Edward Scott Linton American Legion Post 175.
