Clayton Wayne Shafer

Clayton Wayne Shafer, 63, of Chartiers Township, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, in Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pennsylvania. He was born October 15, 1960, in San Angelo, Texas, a son of the late Wayne and Beverly Hambrick Shafer. Clay was a graduate of Eldorado High School in Nevada. He was employed at the University of Pittsburgh for 15 years as a Stationary Power Engineer, before his retirement in 2023. He was a member of the Engineering Local in Pittsburgh. He had previously worked as an engineer at the Luxor Hotel in Nevada for many years before moving to Eighty Four, Pennsylvania. In addition to his parents, Clay is predeceased by his brother, Scott. Clay is survived by his close companion, Lady, who did everything with him; a dear family friend, Janine Zito; a nephew, Derek; and several other nieces and nephews. All arrangements are private and entrusted to the care of William G. Neal Funeral Home.
