Connie E. Sanders, a beacon of love and compassion, illuminated the lives of those around her, passing from this world on December 19, 2025, with her devoted family by her side. Born on August 10, 1943, in Washington, Pennsylvania, "Bootsie's" journey was marked by her unwavering faith, remarkable kindness, and culinary prowess that engaged the hearts of many.

A graduate of McGuffey High School, class of 1961, "Bootsie" emerged not only with academic accomplishments but with a deep understanding of community, family, and faith. At the age of 28, she embraced her spiritual journey, finding salvation through her faith in Jesus Christ. This profound connection guided her throughout her life and was reflected in her active role as the secretary of her church, where she touched the souls of many with her warm-heartedness and support.

"Bootsie" was the heart of her family. Married to Robert "Bob" Sanders on May 10, 1961, she dedicated herself to nurturing not only a loving home but also fostering a rich legacy through her four children—Richard L. (Valerie), Robert J. (Jodi), Ronald R. (Paula), and daughter Konnie K. (Bob) Sanders. Her pride swelled to greater heights as she became a grandmother to nine grandchildren: Ethan Sanders, Brett (Lindsey) Sanders, Bryce (Shannon) Sanders, Kylie (Dylan) Fuller, Philip (Jordan) Naccarato, Rachel (Brian) Naccarato, Shaun (Alexandra) Sanders, David (Emily) Sanders, and Ryan Sanders, as well as to fifteen great-grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy to her life.  She will be missed by her dear sisters Reita (late Frank) Lewis, Yvonne (late Roy) Supler and brothers Gerald (late Patty) Sprowls and Gary (Beverly) Sprowls.  She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Her career as a driver of a van for special needs children across the school districts of the Washington County area reflected her nurturing spirit and her compassionate dedication to others. She found joy in her time spent working with youth camps in Virginia, where her heart resonated with the mission of feeding the kids at bible camp.

"Bootsie" was not only a loving caregiver but also a master in the kitchen. Known as the best cook among her family and friends, she transformed the complex task of preparing a Thanksgiving meal into a fine art, ensuring everything was served to perfection at once. Her talents extended to baking exquisite pies that seemed to embody the love she infused into every dish. In quieter moments, Connie cherished in word searches while reveling in the joy of reading and singing. Her spirit thrived during camping trips and her participation in conventions and revivals alongside her beloved husband, Bob.

While "Bootsie" leaves behind an enduring legacy of love and kindness, she is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Robert "Bob" Sanders, sons Richard, Robert, Ronald, and daughter Konnie, along with her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She rejoins her beloved parents, William and Ruby Sprowls, and her brother, Gaylord "Bub" Sprowls, whose presence will surely be felt in the hearts of her family as they cherish her memory.

In passing, Connie E. "Bootsie" Sanders leaves a gaping void in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Yet, her spirit will forever live on in the warmth of fond memories and the profound impact she made on countless lives through her unwavering love, compassion, and devotion.
