Cynthia Grinage

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Cynthia “Fanny” Grinage, aged 72, of Washington, PA, who passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on February 12, 2026.

Cynthia “Fanny” Grinage was born on May 18, 1953 in Washington, PA to Ross & Flora (Gordon) Grinage. She grew up in Washington, PA, attended Washington High School, and later pursued a career in Cardiology in the medical field in San Diego, CA. She lived in Snellville, GA for the past 21 years with her children and grandchildren

Throughout her life, Cynthia was known for personal qualities of kindness, humor, generosity, intellect and activism. She enjoyed music, traveling, and spending time with family. She was deeply loved by all who knew her.

Cynthia Grinage leaves behind her loving and adoring children Delana Major, Adonijah Major, and Nzingha Major. Her wonderful grandchildren, Khamar Major, Xavier Major, Zyen Major, Jahkeem Major, Jahsiah Major and Isabella Major. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her siblings, Beverly Grinage, Michael (Senaida) Grinage and preceded in death by her parents Ross and Flora Mae Gordon-Grinage, her dear sister and brother Rosslyn Culp, and Ross Grinage Jr.

Friends and family will be welcomed on Sunday February 22, 2026 from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM at the William G. Neal Funeral Home 925 Allison Ave Washington PA  A funeral service will take place at 11AM at the John Wesley United Methodist Church 35 Central Ave. Washington PA 15301 (PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH).    Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery.   A repast will take place at Julian's 78 W. Maiden Street Washington, PA 15301 at 3PM.  Friends and family are encouraged to attend in honor of "Fanny's" memory.
