David Lee Hinerman

David Lee Hinerman, 75, of Canton Township, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025, at UPMC Washington Hospital.

He was born on February 13, 1950, in Washington, a son of the late Edwin Hinerman and Louise Wilson Hinerman.

On August 5, 1977, he married Sara McAnany who passed away on July 13, 2015.

After graduating from High School, David went on to serve honorably in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1971.

He then worked for years in coal mining and retired from Superior Valve.

David was a member of the American Legion, Moose, Elks, and the Keystone Club in Washington. He also enjoyed golfing tremendously as well as hunting.

He is survived by son Keith (Lorie) Pentland; grandchildren Keith (Lisa) Pentland, Bryan (Merrilee) Pentland, and Collin (Megan) Pentland; great-grandchildren Madison, Riley, Sylvia, Lydia, and Remi; and brother Robert of California.

In addition to his wife and parents, David is preceded in death by his son, Kevin.

Friends and family will be received from 12 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington with Final Prayers to follow.

Friends are welcome to join the family for Luncheon at the Elks Lodge in Washington following the visitation.
