David Anthony Salamone, 73, of Washington, died February 22, 2021, in South Hills Health and Rehabilitation. He was born October 6, 1947, in Washington, a son of the late Anthony Salamone and Mildred Behr Salamone. Following graduation from Trinity High School, Mr. Salamone served in the Navy for three years, earning a National Defense Service Medal. He worked as a truck driver for over 30 years, driving for PI&I as well as other companies. Mr. Salamone was a proud husband and father who enjoyed reading and solving crossword puzzles. On November 12, 1966, he married Karen Miller, who survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Tina (Steve) Salomonsen, Angela Salamone and Deborah (John) Marton, all of Washington, and Melissa (Beau) Barker of Cleveland, Ohio; a brother, Raymond Salamone of Falkville, Alabama; five grandchildren, Dominic, Owen, Karlee, Piper, and Jillian; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a son, Edward Salamone. Due to state-mandated Covid-19 restrictions, all services are private. Arrangements have been entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., Washington.
