Dewayne Austin

Dewayne Austin, a beloved friend known for his kind and welcoming spirit, passed away at his home on August 22, 2025, surrounded by his friends who cherished him deeply. Born on June 19, 1961, in Beaver, PA, Dewayne's infectious smile and big heart touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

His warmth radiated throughout his journeys, both personal and those made during his time at the Pathways Day Program, where he formed lasting friendships with many. Dewayne's personality shone bright, making every gathering more colorful and inviting. He especially enjoyed celebrating life at parties with his girlfriend, Juliann—together they created memories that will forever be cherished.

An artist at heart, Dewayne found joy in painting on canvas, expressing his creativity through vibrant strokes and colors. He embraced his love for the Pittsburgh Sports teams, with a particular passion for the Pittsburgh Steelers, often engaging in lively conversations about his favorite players.

Dewayne leaves behind a loving community, including his girlfriend Juliann, his bonus mom Rose, and his roommates, Jessica and Jhonell. The bonds formed with the Pathways Residential Team and the Pathways ATF Team speak to the profound impact he had on those around him. They remember him not only for his big blue eyes but for the kindness that flowed effortlessly from his warm heart.

As we celebrate the life of Dewayne Austin, let us hold onto the beautiful memories he has given us: his laughter, his compassionate nature, and his unwavering spirit brightened even the darkest days. He will be missed dearly, but his legacy of love and joy will continue to inspire all of us who were lucky enough to cross his path.
