Washington PA

Diana R. Schurr, born on April 14, 1949, in Washington, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on December 30, 2025. Diana was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, whose life was a testament to hard work and dedication. After raising her son, she retired after more than 24 years at Ace Reconditioners.

A proud member of the Class of 1967 at Trinity High School, Diana’s early career began at a credit bureau in Washington County, where she showcased her strong work ethic. Over the years, she became known for her welcoming spirit and outspoken personality, traits that endeared her to friends and family alike.

Diana was an excellent cook, dedicating time and effort to create memorable holiday meals that brought loved ones together. Her family cherished those moments around the dinner table.  Among her many interests, she enjoyed watching all the Pittsburgh sports teams and had a fondness for QVC shopping, which often added delight to her daily routine.

An intriguing aspect of her life story recalls how she met her future husband, Randall Schurr. As fate would have it, he spotted her from across the parking lot as she got out of a car, and at that moment declared to his friend, “that’s my future wife and  I’m going to marry her.” This marked the beginning of a loving partnership that thrived over the years.

Diana was particularly proud of her son, Timothy, and her grandchildren, Kayla (Todd) Rush, Dylan Schurr, and Austin Schurr. Each grandchild brought her immense joy, and she took great pride in supporting their endeavors and being involved in their lives.

She is survived by her loving husband, Randall, her son Timothy, daughter-in-law Lisa, and her cherished grandchildren. Diana is also remembered by her deceased family members, including her uncles, Paul Anderson and Bud Anderson, and her aunt, Judy Horvath.

Diana R. Schurr will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her. Her legacy of hard work, kindness, and family devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.

As per Diana's wishes all arrangements are private and entrusted to the care of William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allision Ave. Washington PA
