It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dolores J. "Dody" Marchetti, a cherished mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and niece, who left this world surrounded by the love of her family on January 13, 2026, in Washington, PA. Born on June 7, 1967, in Canonsburg, Dody touched the lives of many with her welcoming nature and ability to make those around her feel at ease.
Dody's career began with West Penn Wire and later continued at Walmart Corporation, where she was known not just for her work ethic but also for her friendly demeanor. She was a woman of many talents and interests. Above all, Dody poured love into being a devoted mother to her sons, Mark (Desiree) McMillan and Jeff Marchetti, and a proud grandmother to her beautiful grandchildren, Mark, Mason, and Jadah. She cherished every moment spent with her family, creating memories filled with laughter and love.
She attended Canon-McMillan High School and throughout her life, she embraced activities that brought her joy, including shopping trips filled with laughter alongside her father, and venturing into woodworking which became a fulfilling hobby. Her love for Boxers was well-known, as she delighted in the companionship they provided.
Dody leaves behind her dear mother Dolores (Greene) McMillan, brothers Ralph (Tracey) and Jesse (Leslie) McMillan, as well as her beloved aunts, Janet (Bill) Miller and Charlotte “Aunt Punky” McMillan, and her uncles, Charles (Janice) Greene, Daniel (J.C.) Greene, Donald (Patty) Greene and nieces Sydney McMillan and Baylee McMillan. Each family member will carry her memory in their hearts, forever touched by her spirit.
She is preceded in death by her son Joseph McMillan, father Joseph McMillan, brother Herbert McMillan, Aunt Diane McManus, who is survived by Ron McManus; her Uncle Toby McMillan; and her late nephew Gunner "Bean" McMillan, all of whom will be remembered fondly.
Dody's legacy lives on in the lives she enriched and in the love she freely gave. She passed away surrounded by her loving family, a testament to the strong bonds she nurtured throughout her life. As we remember Dolores, we celebrate not just her accomplishments, but the warmth and light she brought into each of our lives. She will be greatly missed, yet her love and memories will echo in our hearts forever.
