Doreen Ann Taylor

Doreen Ann Minda Taylor, 68, of Claysville, passed away February 28, 2026, in her home.

She was born February 9, 1958, in Avella, a daughter of Joan Marie Starinsky Minda and the late Richard Frank Minda.

Doreen was a graduate of Avella High School.

She worked for ARC Human Services for several years before retiring. In her retirement, she became a bus driver for Mlaker Bus Transportation Services. She took great pride in making sure children got to school safely.

Doreen was a wonderful baker who was well known for her cookie trays, birthday cakes, and wedding cakes. She was an avid crocheter who took great pride in her creations. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren who called her “Ammie” lovingly. Doreen was a generous spirit who touched countless lives and her beautiful heart will be forever cherished in those she left behind.

She is survived by are her mother, Joan Minda; a son, James (Shelby) Mark Taylor Jr. “TJ”; four grandchildren, Eli Taylor, Jeremy Taylor, Gabby Minor and Grace Minor; and a brother, George Minda.

She is preceded in death, in addition to her father, by a sister, Sharla McMillan.

Family and friends will be received from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2026, in William G. Neal Funeral, Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA, where a funeral service will follow at 7 p.m.
