Edison Lyons Tressler, 85 of Claysville, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Family Hospice and Palliative Care. He was born October 16, 1932 in Mt. Braddock, the son of the late Edison G. Tressler and Katherine Lyons Tressler. Edison graduated from Point Marion High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. He worked for Jessop Steel for 32 years. Edison was Methodist by faith. He loved walking, going to the mall, eating McDonald’s pancakes and playing Yahtzee into the early hours. He also loved talking to the Lord and to his late wife, Eleanor. Edison loved to laugh and make others laugh. On November 10, 1962, he married Eleanor Hager, who died February 18, 2012. Surviving are a daughter, Cinda (Paul) Cengia of Bridgeville; a granddaughter, Megan (Leon III) Dwinga and great granddaughter, Mackenzie Grace Dwinga. Deceased in addition to his parents and wife are a brother, Donald Tressler and a sister Cecille Seiler. Friends will be received Friday, July 6, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, July 7, 2018 from 1 to 3 p.m. the time of service at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington.
