Edna "Ann" Phillips, 95, of Washington, died on January 18, 2023, in Washington Hospital. She was born on June 14, 1927, a daughter of the late Alfred and Lenore Pabst Wagner. A graduate of Washington High School, she was a member of Broad Street Baptist Church. Ann had worked as a sales clerk for J.C. Penney. She enjoyed playing cards, doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles, quilting, and making purses. At the Washington Senior Center, Ann enjoyed participating in their entertainment shows, where she sang, danced and did skits. She especially loved spending time with family and friends. On July 28, 1950, she married William Arthur Phillips, who died on August 8, 1985. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth A. Phillips and Ronald J. (Bonnie G. White) Phillips; a daughter, Dianne (Lloyd) Jenkins; a daughter-in-law, Mary A. Phillips; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, and one on the way. Deceased is a son John R. Phillips. Friends and family are welcome on Sunday, January 22, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., in William G Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Prospect Cemetery.
