Mr. Edward L. Nash, 94, of Lakeland, Michigan, died on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, in the Donnell House. He was born on September 13, 1924, in Nashville, MI, a son of the late Edwin and Marian Kellogg Nash. Mr. Nash trained at General Motors Institute, and graduated from Wayne State University. He worked for 35 years at General Motors, and 18 years at Isuzu Motors as an automotive design engineer. Edward was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Hilton Head. A great golfer, he enjoyed boating, snow skiing, bowling and playing bridge, and belonged to the Audubon Society. He designed and built two of his homes. On November 9, 1945, he married Margery Wiley, who died in 2008. Surviving are a son, Stephen (Deborah) Nash, of Carlsbad, CA; three daughters, Joyce (Aaron) Stimmell, of Washington, Betty (Pete) Hodges, of Spotsylvania, VA and Sally (Rod) Steiner, of Okemos, MI. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Michael, Robert, Jason, Andrea, Michele and Mary; many great grandchildren; and his two nieces, Susan and Nona. Deceased is his sister, Margaret. At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or services.
