Forney “Pete” Leroy Huffman, 91, died peacefully Wednesday, December 5th, 2018, in his home, surrounded by loved ones, in Reno, NV. He was formerly from Washington, PA. Pete was born on June 12, 1927, at home in Greene County, PA. He is the son of the late Forney J. and Violet E. Boyd Huffman. Pete was a 1945 graduate of Waynesburg High School. Pete was a patriot who loved his country. He was in basic training when WWII ended. He learned hard work and gardening as a young boy growing up in a large family on a farm in Greene County. As a father, he continued gardening as a supplement to feed his own family. Family, especially the children, brought Pete happiness in life. He loved to see little ones smile and to hear them chatter and laugh. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were his greatest love and joy. He takes a piece of our hearts with him. We loved him every day, and now we will miss him every day.
