Frank Caruso, born July 7, 1939, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026 4 days shy of his 87th birthday, in Washington, Pennsylvania. His life was marked by a steadfast dedication to family, his country, a distinguished career, and a spirited love for automobiles that inspired many.
Frank spent his formative years in Pittsburgh. He dedicated six years in service to the United States Army, for which he was honorably discharged. His years of service fostered a profound sense of duty and resilience, traits that continued to define him throughout his life.
Frank's professional journey was most notably shaped by his many years as the Body Shop Manager at Yenko Chevrolet Dealership. During his tenure at the renowned Canonsburg dealership in the 1980s, he played a pivotal role in helping to build high performance supercars, a contribution he regarded among his proudest accomplishments.
An avid racing enthusiast, Frank channeled his love for cars beyond the office and onto the track, participating in races at the Heidelberg Race Track. His adventurous spirit, coupled with his innate good nature, fun-loving personality, and kindness, endeared him to friends, colleagues, and family alike. He will be fondly remembered as a hardworking man whose generosity, jovial spirit, and warmth touched all those around him.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret Caruso, and his daughter, Candi (Keith) Strimel. His legacy continues through his granddaughter, Karla Armentrout. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Marcia Caruso; niece, Danielle (Brian) Palm; nephews, Nick Caruso and David Caruso; and step-daughter, Denise Duball.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Caruso, and his mother, Anna Lococo Caruso.
Friends are invited to the William G. Neal Funeral Home on Thursday July 16, 2026 from 1PM to 5PM. A blessing service will take place at the funeral home on July 17, 2026 at 10:30AM with entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Gardens. Military Honors will be provided by the Edward Scott Linton American Legion Post 175 and the U.S. Army.
