Gary Clyde Reynolds, 76, of Washington, formerly of Shelbyville, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in UPMC Washington.
He was born June 15, 1949, in Shelbyville, Illinois, a son of the late Clyde Reynolds and Sarah Janice Jackson Reynolds.
Gary was a 1969 graduate of Shelbyville High School and attended Washington and Jefferson College.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1972 during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Good Conduct Medal.
Gary was self-employed as the owner of a Quick Lube. He also previously worked at Drakenfeld in customer service performing color matching and SCI Greene as a corrections officer.
On August 11, 1971, he married Bonnie Fay Barnhart Reynolds, who survives. They celebrated 54 years of marriage.
Also surviving are a daughter, Janielle (Glendon) Plavi; two grandchildren, Zachary Reynolds Plavi, and Chloe Janiece Plavi; a sister, Ramona Kaye (the late Charles) Moon; and many nieces.
