George D. Albano

George D. Albano, 91 of Washington, died Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Transitions Health Care. He was born May 19, 1927, in Washington, the son of the late Frank and Agnes Palermo Albano. George was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School and was the owner of Albano’s Produce. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. George loved traveling to New York City to see Broadway shows with his wife and also enjoyed watching Jeopardy. On November 11, 1951, he married Mary Jean Stahl, who died June 17, 2007. Surviving are two sons, William (Florence “Sistie”) Albano of Washington and George A. (Linda) Albano of Tulsa, OK; a granddaughter, Allison Albano of Tulsa, OK; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents are his siblings, Antoinette Tragone, Frank “Skip” Albano, Tony Boy Albano, Dominick Albano and a brother who passed away in infancy. Friends will be received Friday, February 1, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
