Helen Hatfield Harper, 94, of Amity, went to be with her Lord on April 26, 2021, peacefully in her home. She was born August 18, 1926, in Banetown, a daughter of A. Ross Hatfield and Mabel Sanders Hatfield. Mrs. Harper graduated from Trinity High School in 1944. In February, 1945, she was licensed as a Cosmetologist, and began her career in cosmetology. She enjoyed reading, solving crossword puzzles, and spending time with family. Mrs. Harper was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Ruff Creek. On June 22, 1946, she married Meade Harper, who died on March 28, 1999. They were married over 52 years. Surviving are a son, Roy Harper (Kathy) of Amity; a daughter, Joyce Harper-McKnight (Tom) of Canton, Ohio; two grandchildren, Cyndi Taylor (Jeff), of Pittsburgh and Lori Ardeno (Rob), of Amity; two step-grandchildren, Michael McKnight and Lori Culler; one great-grandchild, Lindsay Taylor; five step great-grandchildren; and one step great-great granddaughter. She was “grandma” to many. Private family services were held followed by burial in Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Camp Carmel, C/O Chris Carson, Treasurer, 323 Darr Rd., Belle Vernon, PA 15012. Arrangements were entrusted to William G.
