Howard Paul Snoke, 63, of Avella, died Sunday, January 13, 2019, in his home. He was born November 30, 1955, in Washington, a son of the late Dr. Paul Calvin Snoke and Romaine Brownlee Snoke. Mr. Snoke was a 1973 graduate of Trinity High School and a 1994 graduate of Washington Institute of Technology, where he earned a 4.0 in HVAC. He worked for Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad, Penn Plastics, Howard Johnson and Day’s Inn, as well as owning and operating Snoke Heating, Air & Refrigeration for the past 25 years. Mr. Snoke was past president of West Middletown Volunteer Fire Department. He loved Colorado, especially the San Juan Mountains, Wyoming and Utah. On May 17, 1980, he married Janet Thompson, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Brian Snoke (Toni), Philip Snoke (Ellen), and Stephen Snoke (Caitlyn Lesneski); a brother, Donald Snoke (Diane); four grandchildren, Ava, McKinley, Waylon and Roman; former daughter-in-law, Allison Brach Snoke; nieces Amanda Jollife (Dustin) and Jennifer Jennings; and great-nephews Parker and Carter Jennings. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at Noon, Friday, January 18th.
