Inez Ruth McCauley, 86, of Washington, died Tuesday, June 6, 2017, in The Washington Hospital, following a brief illness. She was born May 29, 1931, in Washington, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mable Dague Gween. She and her husband were owner/operators of Washington Leasing Trucking Company for many years, and raised Belgian horses throughout their lives. For 36 years, she was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, where she had served as chaplain and as a state officer. Mrs. McCauley was a member and former elder of Lone Pine Christian Church.An avid reader, she enjoyed trips to Ohio Amish country. On August 14, 1948, she married Francis I. McCauley, who passed away on November 15, 2000, after 52 years of marriage. Surviving are two sons, Michael Ray McCauley (Darla) and John Thomas McCauley, both of Washington; a daughter, Frances “Jean” Watson of Washington; five grandchildren, Chad McCauley, Rhonda Donahoo, Cristin O’Dell, Frank O’Dell and Dawn McCullough; and 10 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her Corgi dog, "Pickles." Deceased are a grandson, Michael Donahoo, and a granddaughter, Danielle McCauley. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday and from Noon till 1 p.m., the time of service, on Saturday, June 10th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
