James “Jim” Edward McTeague passed away on May 31, 2025, in Transitions Healthcare, Washington, after a 15-month illness.
Jim was born on April 20, 1947, in Canonsburg, the son of the late Edward Hugh and Helen Suhayda McTeague.
On October 24, 1970, he married Ellen Darlene Clouston, who passed away October 7, 2001.
He was a graduate of Canon McMillan High School.
Jim retired from Superior Valve after 20 years of employment. He previously worked as a security guard for the Morris Detective Agency.
He enjoyed Stock car racing, Nascar, eating out, his dogs and taking a nap.
Jim was a past member of the Glenn Street Methodist Church in Washington.
Surviving are three children, Mikeal McTeague, Stephen McTeague and Debra (John) Corbly; his sister, Ruth Ann (Kenneth) Cumer; his good friend, Felicia Haddix; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are private and entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
He will be laid to rest at Washington Cemetery alongside his wife.
