James “Jim” Howard Moore, 86, of Washington, passed away on May 5, 2026, in AHN Canonsburg Hospital.
He was born on September 18, 1939, in Washington, a son of the late James Anthony Moore and Edna Mae McKnight Moore.
James was a 1957 graduate of Washington High School and went on to complete a rigorous drafting school program in Pittsburgh.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
James went on to work as a draftsman for a multitude of companies over the years, including, Blackbox, Westinghouse, and RCA.
Jim was a fan of all Pittsburgh sports, loving to root for the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. He enjoyed traveling and going out to events with friends, and most of all, spending time with his family. James was loved by everyone who met him.
On August 21, 1958, James married his beloved spouse, Donna Virginia Livosz Moore. They spent 45 loving years together until her passing on September 11, 2003.
Surviving are his sons, Craig Anthony Moore and Steven Howard Moore; daughters Amy (Eric) Fleming and Michele (Mathew) Reed; grandchildren Corey Moore, Mandy Fleming, Zachary Reed, and Gabriel Reed; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends and family will be received from 12 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2026, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 18, 2026. Interment will follow at Washington Cemetery.
