James A. Ritchey

James A. Ritchey, 85, of Washington, died on July 6, 2022, in Washington Hospital. He was born on July 22, 1936, in West Middletown, a son of the late Gailey and Ellen Irwin Ritchey. A 1955 graduate of Trinity High School, he attended North Ten Mile Church. Mr. Ritchey was retired from McAnallen Corporation, where he worked as a cement finisher. An avid golfer, James loved traveling and cruising with his beloved wife Twila. On August 31, 1957, in Bethany, WV, he married the love of his life, Twila Mae Paul, who died on January 20, 2016. Surviving are a daughter, Rhonda (Scott) Weller; a sister, Mary Elizabeth (the late Roland) Taggart; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Deceased are a daughter, Brenda Reese; a son, James A. Ritchey; a grandchild; and a great grandchild. Friends and family are welcome on Saturday, July 9, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington. Burial will follow in West Middletown Cemetery.
