Janet L. Fabiszewski

We lovingly bid farewell to Janet L. Fabiszewski, 78, of Washington, who passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026, at UPMC Washington Hospital.

She was born on December 3, 1947, in Washington, daughter of the late Kathryn Bogochenko.

Raised in Scenery Hill, PA, she was a 1965 graduate of Bentleyville-Ellsworth High School. Janet went on to earn her associate degree from Penn Commercial College.

A very hard worker with a strong work ethic, Janet worked as a Switchboard Operator at Joy Manufacturing in Houston, a glass laborer at Brockway Glass Manufacturing, and retired as a merchandise stocker at Walmart.

Janet was a true “family” person who loved gardening, baking especially pizzelles for the family and grandchildren she loved; polkas, playing 500 - card games and board games. She loved animals, especially her Yorkie Izzy and her cat Tidge.

On September 6, 1969, she married Daniel J. Fabiszewski, Sr. who passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013.

Janet is survived by her son Daniel J. Fabiszewski, Jr.; daughter Stacey Kay (Brian); grandchildren Jordan Hillman (Taylor),Madison Hillman (Kam), and Jeffrey Hillman; and great grandchild Brantley Hillman. She also leaves behind several very dear to her heart cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends as well as her sister-in-law, Kay Koch.

She is preceded in death by in laws, Stanley and Opal Fabiszewski; a sister in law, Lorraine Martin; 

Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a funeral service will take place at 1 p.m.

Interment will follow at Beallsville Cemetery.
