Janice Marie Bombara Hendricks Harris, 81, of Taylorstown, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Allegheny General Hospital.

She was born on September 23, 1943, in Dodge City, Kansas, a daughter of the late Ernest Vaughn Hendricks and Alva Marie Wintamute Abrahms.

Janice was Catholic by faith and a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School.

She went on to become a homemaker but also spent time working at the Hills Department Store and Towers Restaurant.

Janice loved animals and spent her life advocating for them. She had a special place in her heart for cardinals. In her free time, she loved to crochet. She would send handmade baby clothes to local hospitals and loved making afghans for her family and friends. Janice took a considerable amount of pride in being able to provide clothes to the families and babies of Washington county.

On March 3,1962 she married Ralph Edward Harris who passed away December 28, 2023.

Janice is survived by four children, Joseph (Brenda) Harris, Edward (Iris) Harris, Lisa Harris, and William Harris; four grandchildren, Joshua, Brittany, Nicholas (Ashley) and Zachary; two great granddaughters, Paige and Laine; two brothers, Frank (Sandra) Bombara and Michael (Nancy) Bombara; two sisters, Rose (Allan) Cenis and Susan (Tom) Rizor; and several special nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are two brothers, David Bombara and Billy Mollenauer; and a sister, Patricia Bombara Doman.

Family and friends will be received from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., the hour of service, Monday, September 15, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Deacon Tim Counihan officiating. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janice’s memory to St. Jude or any animal shelter of your choice. Janice will often be in our thoughts, memories and hearts. She is gone but never forgotten and forever loved.
