Jason Simms

Jason Simms, a dedicated honorable veteran, passed away on April 22, 2026, at UPMC Washington Hospital in Washington, Pennsylvania. Born on April 12, 1965, in Washington, PA, Jason lived a life marked by commitment, integrity, and kindness.

A proud graduate of Trinity High School’s Class of 1983, Jason carried forward the values instilled in him during his formative years. He served his country with distinction in the United States Airforce for 20 years, demonstrating unwavering dedication and honor throughout his military career.

Following his military service, Jason applied the same work ethic and determination in his position at Pennsylvania Transformer Technology Incorporated, where he earned respect as a hardworking and reliable team member. Known for his quiet strength and kindness, he touched the lives of colleagues and friends alike.

Outside of his professional life, Jason had a passion for hunting and fishing, activities through which he found solace and connection with nature. He also maintained close friendships with Mark, Hunter, and Kenny, who were important parts of his life.

Jason is survived by his brother Vince (Mary) Simms.   He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Marilyn (Newland) Simms, whose legacy he carried forward with pride.

Jason Simms’s life was marked by unwavering loyalty to his family, friends, and country. His legacy of hard work, quiet determination, and kindness will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.  All services are private and entrusted to the William G. Neal Funeral Home Washington PA.
