Jeffrey Berl “Jeff” Hillberry, Sr., 52, of Amity, died on June 19, 2022, in Washington Hospital. He was born on February 17, 1970, in Washington, a son of the late Alpheus Berl Hillberry, Jr., and Donna Zediker Hillberry. Jeff was a graduate of Trinity High School. A dedicated and hard-working man, Mr. Hillberry had worked for Lorenzi Lumber, R&M Grinding, was a tri axle truck driver, and worked for Amwell Township and PennDOT. He was also a fireman with Amwell Township, and a member of the Anawanna Club. Jeff was well known for his great sense of humor, and his warm, generous, kind-hearted soul. He loved his farm and spending time in the woods. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. On August 5, 1989, he married the love of his life, Lisa Mary Rutan, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Jeffrey (Paige Presley) Hillberry, Jr., of Avella, and Shane (Ciera Kinley) Hillberry, of Washington; five grandchildren, Kendell, Jaxson, Lincoln, Frankie Lynn and Virginia; a brother, David (Allison) Hillberry, of Sycamore; three sisters-in-law, Rita Rutan, Katrina Rutan, and Charlene Rutan, all of Washington; nieces and nephews, Charlene “Pecan,” Rutanya “Roo,” Nicole, Shannon, Chuckie, Cody (Amanda), Collin, and Colton (Fiancee Dessa); a great niece, Keaton; his mother-in-law, Sheila Rutan; aunts and uncles, Janet “Cook” and Regis Walther, of Prosperity, and Larry and Linda Hillberry, of Amity; as well as several cousins. Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a sister-in-law, Sheila Fullerton. Friends and family will be received on Sunday, June 26, 2022, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, with Pastor Fred McCloskey officiating.
