Jo Ann Nichols, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025, in Washington, Pennsylvania, at the age of 84. Born on November 2, 1941, in St. James, Missouri, Jo Ann was a radiant spirit whose life was dedicated to family, work, and community.

For over 22 years, Jo Ann served faithfully at PNC, where her commitment and diligence brought joy to her colleagues and clients alike. Retirement brought her the opportunity to devote herself more fully to her family and the things she cherished most.

Jo Ann graduated from Fox High School in Arnold, Missouri. It was here that she laid the foundation for her wonderful journey through life, marked by her unwavering dedication to those she loved. Known as the glue who held everyone together, she cultivated an environment of warmth and affection that will forever be remembered.

As a wonderful cook, Jo Ann’s culinary skills were unmatched, with her green bean casserole becoming a treasured staple during family gatherings. 

An avid bowler and a devoted member of the Abundant Life Baptist Church, Jo Ann’s interests extended beyond her family, as she shared her kind-hearted nature and friendly disposition with her community. She made friends easily, touching lives wherever she went, and ensuring that those around her felt valued and appreciated.

Jo Ann is survived by her loving husband, Henry Nichols Jr., and their children, Wilson Nichols III and Terri (Dean) Pagliuca. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Robert Nichols and Sarah Nichols, as well as her great-grandchildren, Angelina, Molly, and Tristan.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Marie Hardy, and her parents, Herbert and Audra (Morris) Bonham. Jo Ann's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, a gentle reminder of the impact one person can have on the lives of many. 

As per Jo Ann's wishes burial will be private.  All services are entrusted to the William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd.. 925 Allison Ave. Washington PA
