John Charles Dinsmore, 67, of McDonald, passed away Monday, October 6, 2025.
He was born on February 9, 1958, in Weirton, West Virginia, the son of the late William Dinsmore and Norma Jean Wilkinson Dinsmore.
John was a graduate of Fort Cherry High School and a graduate of Washington Institute of Technology in Washington.
He was a self-employed contractor in the carpenter and construction industry.
John enjoyed golfing, playing cornhole, Harley Davidson Motorcycles and classic cars, especially the 1962 Impala and 1966 Nova. He was very much an animal lover.
He was very considerate, compassionate, intelligent, loving man that was so much a very hard worker and had worked hard all his life. John provided a wonderful life for his wife. He was such a kind soul and a wonderful man with a great sense humor. He will be very much missed by family and friends.
On June 7, 1997, he married Deborah Willis Dinsmore, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Christina (Jarod) Floyd; William “Bill” (Cathi) Dinsmore; two sisters, Loretta (Bob) McMahon, and Wanda McDowell; a granddaughter, Alexa Floyd; many nieces and nephews; and his cat, Mazie.
Deceased is a brother-in-law, Doug McDowell.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2025, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2025. Interment will follow in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory.
