Julianna Lynn “Julie” Schirosky, 61, of Washington, died on Thursday, November 1, 2018, in her home. She was born on October 20, 1957, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late William Nicholas and Genieve E. Cope Polly. A 1976 graduate of Canon McMillan High School, she also received an Associate Degree from college. Julie was a member of Fourth Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Schirosky worked in the meat and deli department at the Foodland on East Maiden St. Julianna loved her dogs, cats, and especially her pet deer, and enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. One of her passions was doing veteran outreach for young service members in our community. On May 23, 1991, she married John C. Schirosky, Jr., who survives. Also surviving are a sister, Dianna L. Polly, of Washington; unless and aunts, George and Nancy McMullen, of Houston, PA, and Vance and Judy Vogelsong, of Mechanicsburg; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Linda Amon; father-in-law, John Schirosky, Sr., of Washington; three nieces, Janel Marie Polly, of New York state, Kimberly (Jerrick) Caldwell, of Canonsburg, and Christie (Eric) Kelley, of Canonsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Deceased are a brother, William N. Polly, Jr. and a niece, Jodi Ellis. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
