Kenneth Ammons

Kenneth Ammons Jr., a beloved soul born on September 13, 1966, in Washington, PA, passed away peacefully on  December 31, 2025 at Uniontown Hospital. Kenneth was an extraordinary individual, cherished for his unique personality and warm spirit.

For many years, Kenneth attended an adult training facility where he thrived, not just from the activities but through the wonderful relationships he built there. His bond with his site coordinator, Carlene, whom he affectionately referred to as his "2nd Mom," defined a significant part of his life. She showered him with love and care, creating an environment where Kenneth felt valued and supported, ultimately helping him lead a meaningful life.

Kenneth was known for his sharp sense of humor, possessing a gift for blending honesty with humor in a way that brought joy to those around him. He was a jokester at heart, his blunt and straightforward nature often leading to laughter among friends and family. Kenneth had an innate ability to lighten the mood, ensuring that he left a smile on everyone's face.

His interests were as unique as he was. Kenneth reveled in the simple pleasures of life, including taking rides in the van, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, and visiting the fire station. He found joy in feeding ducks, piecing together puzzles, and attending God’s Choice at Cove Run, where he connected with a community that respected and cherished him.

Kenneth is survived by his Bonus Mom, Carlene, and his friends at Woodland Ave. He leaves behind an extended family that includes his Aunt Frances Bennett, Uncle Bailey Montgomery, and cousins: Frances Montgomery, Carl Bennett Jr., and Carolyn (Donald) Weisgarber. 

Kenneth was predeceased by his mother, Helen (Montgomery) Ammons, father, Kenneth E. Ammons Sr., and uncle, Carl Bennett Sr. 

Family and Friends will be received from 11AM to 1PM on Tuesday January 6, 2026 at the William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave Washington PA.  A funeral service will take place at 1PM followed by burial at Claysville Cemetery.
