Kimberly Ann Desmond Chadwick, 58, passed away September 22, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born January 16, 1963, in Washington, a daughter of Samuel and Dorothy Desmond of Washington, who survive. She was a 1981 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School where she attended grade school through high school graduation. Not long after graduation, she went to work at Camalloy, where she met David Chadwick, who survives. In May of 1986, she and David wed. They went on to have six children together while operating various flooring businesses. In 2010, Kimmy found her passion in the oil and gas industry, where she met life-long friends. Through her work, she was able to pursue her love of travel and problem solving. She was most recently employed by Olympus Energy. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed spending her time with her six kids and family. Everything Kimmy did, she did for her children. She carried the problems of the family on her shoulders and ensured everyone was always taken care of—she was the glue that held them together. Her personality brought laughter and comfort to all. Aside from her parents, Sam and Dotty, and her former spouse, David, she will be deeply missed by her six children, Stephanie Chadwick of Bridgeville, Alexander Chadwick of Los Angeles, California, Natalie Chadwick of Whitehall, Marcus (Dillon) Chadwick of Washington, Jacob Chadwick of Hilliard, Ohio, and Lillian Chadwick of Washington; a sister, Mary Beth (Frank) Craig of Avella; two brothers, Derek (Tracey) Desmond of Claysville and Sam (Nicole) Desmond of Washington ; three aunts, Mary (David) Worobec, Esther Saska and Shirley Desmond; six nieces and nephews; and many cousins. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 29th. Burial will follow in West Middletown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Stephanie Chadwick in care of the funeral home. Proceeds will be used to help raise Kim’s youngest daughter.
